Initiative Description

In this one day course you will learn the basics of Robot Perception. We will cover the advantages and disadvantages of multiple commonly used sensortypes (lidar, ultrasonic, IR, (depth) camera). Since the (depth) camera is one of the most used sensors, the vision used in this course will be explained a bit more. Deep learning can also be used to detect objects in sensor data. Lastly, ROS (Robot Operating System) will be discussed. This is one of the ways to program a robot based on the sensor input.

Learn about the basics of robot perception and the capabilities of different sensor types, Get to know the basics of computer vision & deep learning and Discover how to integrate different components using ROS.
